Partner Portal

As an Altovar distribution partner you have your own space at partners.altovar.net. Sign in with your usual workspace account.

The portal has five pages:

PageWhat you find there
OverviewYour agreement: status, tier, the product lines you can sell, and the counters for customers and keys
CustomersThe workspaces attributed to your channel, one row per product line
LicensesThe license keys issued in your channel, and the actions on them
My networkYour sub-distributors, if your agreement lets you have any — and the page that explains the right if it does not
Price list and marginsThe list price of the lines you distribute, your discount applied to it, and what is left for you. Only for whoever administers your space

Yours to do, and not yours to do

This is the shortest way to avoid a surprise mid-sale.

You do, on your own:

  • Add a customer to your channel — an existing workspace, or a new one (name, identifier, owner email) on a line your agreement covers
  • Issue a license key for one of your customers, on a line your agreement covers
  • Suspend a key you issued, and reactivate it later
  • Change a customer’s ERP plan without interrupting their service
  • From a customer row: Generate a site in your own ERP, or ask Altovar to produce it
  • Read your agreement, your customers and your keys at any time
  • Read your price list — this one only if you administer your space, see below
  • Only if Altovar granted you the right: create a sub-distributor from My network

Altovar does, on request:

  • Move one of your customers to another channel, or bring you a customer from another partner
  • Create or change your product lines, your module list, your customer limit, your discount
  • Grant your sub-distributors their own lines: you create a sub-distributor, you never grant it anything
  • Give you the right to sub-distribute in the first place
  • Re-send the first-access link of a sub-distributor you already created
  • Revoke a key for good, or extend one that has already expired
  • Fulfil a site request you sent from Customers — Siti never produces a key

When something is not yours to do, the portal says so and points you to your account manager. You are not doing it wrong — the control is simply not there.

Customers come from you

You add the customer yourself, from Customers. Issuing a key still does not create one: the customer has to be in your channel first. What changed is that you no longer wait for Altovar to write that row.

So, for a new customer, the order is:

Add the customer

On Customers, choose an existing workspace (its identifier plus the product line) or a new customer (name, identifier, owner email). The line must be one your agreement already covers. The customer ceiling is spent here, not when you later issue a key.

Check it on Customers

The customer appears in your list, on that line.

Issue the key — or start a site

Only now does the issuing form accept that customer. For a website: Generate a site opens your ERP with the lead already filled in; Ask Altovar opens a project ticket instead.

Attribution is per product line

The same customer is attributed once per line. A customer who buys ERP and Cloud from you appears twice in your list — once for each line — and counts as one customer in your totals.

If a customer of yours wants a second product, it is a new attribution: add it on that line before you sell.

The customer limit counts per line, and is spent at attribution

If your agreement caps the number of customers, that cap is per line: five on ERP and a hundred on Cloud are two separate ceilings, and one does not eat the other.

The ceiling is used up when you add the customer, not when you issue. Two consequences worth knowing:

  • A full ceiling is something you find out on Add customer, not at the moment of the sale
  • Extending an existing customer to a new line is a new customer for that line’s ceiling, and issuing there books it

One customer, one channel

A customer belongs to one channel only. A workspace already attributed to another partner cannot become yours by issuing a key for it — the request is refused and the customer keeps the channel it has.

Moving a customer from one channel to another is possible, and it no longer costs the end customer an interruption: their keys stay active and only change channel. But it is Altovar who does it, on request, and it does not exist in the portal in either direction — neither to take a customer from another partner, nor to hand one of yours over.

Issuing a license

From Licenses, click Issue license.

Pick the product line

Only the lines your agreement covers and that produce keys are listed. If the list is empty, your agreement does not currently allow issuing.

Enter the customer workspace

The workspace of a customer already attributed to you.

Pick the plan — ERP only

Mandatory. On ERP you have to say which plan you are selling: Free, Starter or Business, the same ones you see under Price list and margins. Without it the issue is refused, and the portal tells you so.

It is not a label. The plan writes onto the key the two things your customer’s ERP actually reads:

  • the cap on users and on electronic invoices per month;
  • the modules that plan contains.

An undeclared plan was never a key “without limits”: it was the whole product, given away. An ERP key with no plan made the ERP read no cap and turned every module on, paid verticals included — hotel, restaurant, POS, e-commerce, field service, fleet, rental. A customer on Free ended up with a complete Business, and nobody noticed. From now on the plan is the ceiling: verticals are not sold through the channel, they are bought as add-ons and sit outside every plan.

The modules are not yours to pick — ERP only

There is no tickbox any more. The key turns on the modules the plan you picked and your agreement have in common, and Auris works them out at issuing time. The dialog says so next to the plan, but it asks you nothing.

They were pickable until 2026-09-05, and the portal ticked them for you: it pre-selected your agreement’s whole module list. Once the plan became a ceiling on modules too, that list could fall outside the plan you were selling — a Free on an agreement that also covers CRM — and the issue was refused over modules you had not chosen.

The key covers the plan you picked, not the whole product — and never more than your agreement. If your agreement puts no restriction on modules, the plan alone decides. If it does restrict them, the key stops at the narrower of the two.

There is one case where this step gets in your way: when the plan you picked and your agreement have no module in common. The key would be born with nothing switched on, so it is not born at all. The portal tells you in plain words. Pick a plan your agreement covers, or ask your account manager to widen it.

Set an expiry — optional

Leave it empty for a key with no expiry. A date in the past is refused: the customer would receive a key that is already dead. The key stays valid for the whole day you pick, up to midnight.

Issue

The key appears on screen, in full.

Copy the key now. The full key is shown exactly once, at this moment, and you are the one who delivers it to the customer. Everywhere else — your list, the detail, a reload — it is masked, and nobody can show it to you again. If you close the dialog before copying, the key exists but is lost: you will have to issue another one.

The dialog will not close by accident while the key is on screen: neither Escape nor a click outside dismisses it. Only the explicit button closes it.

Suspending and reactivating

On each key in Licenses, the actions menu offers Suspend and Reactivate. The confirmation always names the customer and the product, so you can see what you are about to cut off.

  • Suspend stops the customer from using that product until you bring the key back
  • Reactivate brings back a key you suspended

Two limits on reactivation:

  • Only a suspended key can be reactivated. An expired or revoked key does not come back this way — ask Altovar for a new one
  • A key that expired while suspended does not come back either. The date is past; it needs a new key, not a switch

You never revoke a key from the portal. Revocation is permanent, so it goes through Altovar.

Changing a customer’s plan — without cutting anything off

A customer moving from Starter to Business does not need a new key. The plan is rewritten on the key they already hold: same key, unchanged status, no interruption. Until now the only road was to revoke and reissue — switching the ERP off for a paying customer in order to upgrade them.

The same conditions as issuing apply, measured now: your channel active, the erp line still granted, and the modules inside the intersection of the new plan and your agreement. The customer stays attributed to you and does not consume a second slot of your ceiling: they were already there.

You do it from Licenses, on the row’s actions menu: Change plan. Pick the new plan from the same list you see under Price list and margins, and confirm.

The modules go back to the ceiling: plan ∩ agreement. If that key was issued with a narrower selection, the plan change does not keep it — it restores everything the new plan and your agreement have in common. The confirmation window says so before you press.

Two things the plan change does not do: it does not resurrect a revoked or expired key (that one needs a new key), and it does not apply to lines other than ERP, which have no plan.

My network — sub-distributors

If your agreement allows it, you can resell through another partner: you create their workspace yourself, from My network, and they get their own portal.

The right comes from Altovar, and only from Altovar. It sits on your agreement — whoever administers your workspace cannot give it to you, and no permission unlocks it. If the page says you cannot create sub-distributors, ask your account manager: there is nothing to configure on your side.

What you create, and what you do not

You fill in a name, an identifier and the referent’s email, and Altovar creates the sub-distributor’s workspace.

A sub-distributor is born with no granted line at all. Until Altovar grants it some, it cannot sell or issue anything. You do not grant them yourself, and you cannot: what they may sell is between them and Altovar.

It is also born unable to sub-distribute in turn — that right, again, only Altovar gives.

The ceilings it inherits

Whatever Altovar grants your sub-distributor cannot exceed what you hold. This is worth knowing before you promise anything:

  • Not a line you do not have
  • Not a discount higher than yours — the gap between the two discounts is your margin
  • Not a customer limit higher than yours
  • Not modules outside the ones you may resell

The network is three levels deep at most: Altovar, you, your sub-distributor. If you already sit on the third level, nobody can be added below you.

The link is your only copy. When the sub-distributor is created, the portal shows an Access link: whoever opens it enters that workspace as the referent, so hand it to that person and nobody else. The dialog will not close by accident while the link is on screen — but once you close it, this portal has no way to mint another one. Only Altovar can re-send that invite.

The portal tells you whether the email actually went out. If it did not, you are the one who delivers the link. If the link could not be generated at all, do not try again from here: ask your account manager to send the invite.

Price list and margins

Not every colleague sees this page. It is the only one in the portal reserved for whoever administers your space: it puts your margin in the open, line by line, and Altovar decided that an ordinary member of your workspace should not read it. Anyone without that entitlement does not even find the Pricing entry in the sidebar, and typing the address by hand gets them you do not have permission — that is not a fault. Every other page stays readable by every member.

Price list and margins shows, for every line you actually hold:

ColumnWhat it means
List priceWhat the product costs at list
Your priceThe list price with your discount applied. This is what you pay
Your marginThe difference between the two

All prices are per month, VAT excluded.

The margin is what is left if you resell at list price. Every discount you give your own customer comes straight off it. And if a line carries no discount, at list price there is nothing left for you on it.

If you are a sub-distributor, Your price is what you pay — not what Altovar earns, and not what your parent earns. Neither of you sees the other’s number here.

Four lines have no list price, and the page says so instead of showing a plausible number: Cloud is priced per resource, Menu and Restaurant have no decided list price yet, and Siti is quoted project by project. On those, ask your account manager for a price before you make an offer.

The list is the product’s full price list. If your agreement restricts the ERP modules you can sell, you still see every plan — but you may only sell what your agreement covers, which is shown right above the table.

The ERP you work with

The licence that lets you use the Altovar ERP for your own work is a different thing from your grants: your grants say what you may sell, this says what you may use.

Altovar switches it on, on your own workspace, and it never appears among the keys of your channel or in your counters. If you need it and do not have it, ask your account manager.

If your channel is suspended

While your agreement is suspended or ended, you cannot issue keys, and you cannot suspend or reactivate the existing ones either. The portal tells you the channel is not active.

Your own status is not the whole story. If you are a sub-distributor and a partner above you is suspended or terminated, everything stops for you too — issuing, flipping keys, growing your network — even though your own agreement still reads active on the Overview page. The portal tells you that a distributor above you is suspended or terminated, without naming which one, and sends you to your account manager. That is the right call to make: the situation is not something you can fix, and it is not a fault in your own agreement.

The keys your customers already hold keep working: nothing is cut off automatically, at any level of the chain. Your customers are not punished for a contract above your head.

If your sub-distributors exist and the right to create new ones is withdrawn, the ones you already have stay yours: they keep working and you keep seeing them.

Talk to your account manager to get the channel back.

Reading your agreement

The Overview page shows, for each product line you sell:

  • The modules you may resell — All modules means no restriction
  • The customer limit for that line, or No limit

The discount as a figure is no longer on this page, and that is deliberate: it is the number your margin is derived from, so it lives only in Price list and margins, next to the prices. The same holds for your sub-distributors’ discount ceiling under My network: the rule is there, the number is not. If you need a figure, open it from there — or ask your account manager, if that page is not yours.

Only the lines that are currently active reach this page. If a line you expected to sell is not listed, it has been deactivated or never granted — ask your account manager rather than looking for it in the issuing form.

Your tier and your agreement status are at the top of the page. If any of it does not match what you agreed, your account manager is the one who changes it.
